Possibly you need to enable Activitypub for your server. Not sure if it's on by default...

I think AP is on by default in Zap. Either way, good idea to check that it's enabled on the site and on the channel.

You should be able to go to the mastodon profile page and use 'add connection' or whatever the button is called, and enter your zap address. Like 'benb@m.benborges.xyz'
